PRP Hair Treatment in Glasgow
PRP isn't a replacement for a transplant once hair loss is advanced, but for early-stage thinning it can slow shedding and improve density without surgery — and it's the option we'll usually suggest first if you're not yet a good candidate for a transplant.
How it works: a small sample of your own blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are then injected into the scalp. Platelets carry growth factors that can stimulate dormant follicles and improve blood supply to thinning areas.
Cost: a course of 3 sessions is £495. PRP works cumulatively, so a single session rarely shows a meaningful result — the 3-session course is the minimum we'd recommend to judge whether it's working for you.
What it suits:
• Early-stage thinning, where follicles are weakened but not dormant
• Patients wanting to slow further loss while they decide on surgery
• As a complement after a transplant, to support the health of existing hair alongside new grafts
What it won't do: regrow hair in areas that are already fully bald — at that stage a transplant is the only option that restores density.
No deposit required — you only pay on the day of your first session.
