Hair Transplant Cost by Number of Grafts

A graft is a natural group of one to four hair follicles taken from the donor area and transferred to an area of thinning or baldness. Larger treatment areas generally require more grafts and more surgical time.

Hair Transplant Cost by Procedure

FUE Hair Transplant Cost

FUE hair transplantation starts from £2,999. Individual follicular units are removed from the donor area with a small punch and placed into the areas being treated.

FUE does not leave a linear donor scar. The price reflects the number of grafts and the surgical time required to extract, prepare and place them. A procedure involving around 2,000 grafts usually takes a full surgical day.

Unshaven and partially shaven FUE are available when a full donor shave would cause a personal or professional problem. These procedures take longer and are generally limited to approximately 2,000 grafts.

FUT Hair Transplant Cost

FUT hair transplantation starts from £3,999. A narrow strip of scalp is removed from the donor area and divided into individual follicular units under magnification.

The price reflects the additional graft preparation, specialist equipment and closure of the donor area. FUT can also be used when a patient does not want the donor area shaved.

FUT leaves a linear donor scar, which is normally concealed by the surrounding hair when it is kept at a suitable length.

DHI Hair Transplant Cost

DHI hair transplantation starts from £3,999. The grafts are placed with a specialist implantation pen, allowing the surgeon to control their angle, depth and direction.

DHI takes longer than standard FUE because each graft is loaded and implanted individually. It is commonly used for detailed hairline work and smaller areas requiring precise graft placement.

The final price depends on the number of grafts, the size of the treatment area and the surgical time required.

Beard Transplant Cost

A beard transplant starts from £2,999. Donor follicles are taken from the scalp and placed into the beard, moustache or sideburn area.

The required graft number depends on whether the procedure is filling small gaps, strengthening an existing beard or creating wider coverage. Each graft must follow the natural direction and angle of the facial hair.

Eyebrow Transplant Cost

The price of an eyebrow transplant depends on whether one or both eyebrows are being treated and whether the procedure involves a partial fill or fuller reconstruction.

Donor follicles are taken from the scalp and placed individually into the eyebrow. The angle and direction of each graft are planned to follow the natural pattern of eyebrow growth.

Unshaven Hair Transplant Cost

An unshaven or partially shaven hair transplant normally costs more because the extraction and placement process takes longer. Working around the existing hair also limits how many grafts can be transplanted during one session.

These procedures are generally limited to approximately 2,000 grafts. The exact price is confirmed after the donor area, treatment area and required graft number have been assessed.
